I’m late again this week, oops. This time the week just got away from me and all of a sudden it was 8 pm on Friday night. I’ll hopefully make up for my lateness with a short but sweet post.
After along week I wanted some comfort food last night, for dinner I made Chicken Alfredo with broccoli and garlic toast. Dinner was super tasty and exactly what I wanted but desert stole the show. Quite often when I’m making whipped cream I add a few tablespoons of cocoa powder when I add my powdered sugar. When I was planning this meal thats what I wanted but I’m still living out of boxes, my powdered sugar is still packed and I didn’t want to buy anymore. A few times in my Pinterest browsing I’ve seen “keto fluff” or “whipped crack” which is basically whipped cream mixed with chocolate pudding mix. I decided to give it a try.
It was super easy to make, I just beat the heavy cream with a hand mixer and then when soft peaks formed in the cream I added a whole box of chocolate pudding mix. Mix for a minute or so more and that was it. It was very tasty but not quite what I was looking for. I would absolutely make it again but it was a little more cakey than creamy like my chocolate whipped cream.
I’ve decided to give you both recipes and let you decided which you like best. The method is basically the same mix the cream until soft peaks form add the other ingredients and mix until smooth. Serve and enjoy. I usually eat mine with fruit but you can put it on anything you would put whipped cream on.
What you need
1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
1/3 cup of powdered sugar*
2 Tbs of cocoa powder*
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 box of instant chocolate pudding mix
* Feel free to substitute powdered sugar for a powdered sugar substitute.
*You can add more cocoa powder to make it more chocolatey just do it one tablespoon at at time
