Last Friday was a fun filled day here in the Pies and Power Tools household. We started the day by taking Maddie to her favourite beach to visit the seals. She had a grand ol’ time running in and out of the waves and smelling all the smells.
The afternoon was spent browsing the newest dollar store in town and taking Sophie Cat to the vet. Taking Sophie to the vet is always a little stressful. Four months after I brought Sophie home she was diagnosed with epilepsy because of that I’m always worried that I’m going to get bad news at the vet, thankfully everything is fine. Sophie Cat is happy and healthy.
After getting back from the vet I had no idea what I wanted to make for supper. When I was looking for inspiration I turned to my own blog. In last weeks post I mentioned that I had lot of peppers and onions left over, I also said that I could possibly use those peppers for a taco pizza. After I read that dinner was decided. Super easy and super tasty. I used my favourite fat head pizza dough from here. I had mine with salsa and sour cream, my Official Taste Tester had his with sour cream and hot sauce.
What you’ll need
Fat head dough or your favourite pizza crust
1lb Ground beef
1 Cup of your favourite cheese
1 Tbs cumin
1/2 Tbs garlic
1/2 Tbs onion
2 Tsp chilli powder
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp pepper
1/8 Cup water
First cook your ground beef. Once your beef is cooked add the water, then add all of the spices. Continue cooking until all the water is gone. For my veggie toppings I used left over peppers and onions from my sheet pan chicken, but you can use any toppings you like, I think tomatoes would be really good on this pizza. Top everything with the cheese and pop it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350. Take it out and enjoy.
